Where the geological formations of the Canadian Shield and the St. Lawrence Lowlands meet, the terrain of the Batiscan River can be quite spectacular in places. It offers an enchanting landscape of waterfalls, cascades and basins.
Walking is one of the best ways to explore the area. On the 20 km network of marked trails, you’ll pass through coniferous and deciduous forests, and have access to picnic areas along the way.
Parc de la rivière Batiscan boasts a small network of cycling trails, including over 10 kilometers of singletrack for technical mountain bikers.
You can rent single or double canoes or kayaks to enjoy the pool overlooking the hydroelectric dam. Access to the river is available in all three sectors of the park.
The park is an ideal place to try your hand at fishing. You’ll find walleye, bass, bluegill, channel catfish and other species.
