Located less than 200 km from Montreal, the Kiamika Regional Park is a well-kept secret with a surprisingly wild and splendid appearance! Covering an area of 184 km², the park boasts an immense body of water covering some sixty square kilometers, including a dozen lakes and some forty islands and islets, including the large île de la Perdrix Blanche and the small île de la Perdrix.
The park also has a conservation vocation, having established a 46.2 km² biodiversity reserve. This includes an exceptional forest ecosystem (EFE) characterized by an old-growth forest, with trees around 175 years old.
There’s freshwater salmon fishing, canoe-camping, kayaking, wildlife observation, hunting, dog sledding and snowshoeing. There are also nearly 17 km of hiking trails. Accessible by car, 35 rustic campsites are available for tents and RVs in the Barrage sector, and 10 sites for tents only in the Kilby sector.
The park offers canoe, sea kayak and paddleboard rentals, available at various reception points.
Cécaurel Outfitters, Kiamika Adventures and Club Rossignol offer fishing packages, as well as many services: cabins, camping, ready-to-camp, boat launch, boat rentals, marina, beach, firewood and more.
