Located about an hour from Montreal and Trois-Rivières, this sizeable lake has it all, with a surface area of 10 km2, a circumference of 20 km and an average depth of 28 meters.
Here, you can enjoy long hours of sailing, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, windsurfing, water yoga and every other outdoor activity on the water that comes to mind.
Located just a short drive northwest of Berthierville, the Ville de Saint-Gabriel’s municipal beach on Lac Maskinongé can accommodate several hundred bathers at a time.
It is accessible every day of the week, and a lifeguard is on duty 7 days a week between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. during the summer season.
Two public docks are also available for water sports enthusiasts.
Directly on the beach are amenities that invite us to stay for the day: snack bar, bar and even a fine-dining restaurant with terrace overlooking the lake, as well as picnic areas with shade and a children’s playground. Municipal beach opening hours: Accessible every day of the week.
