Trails between Wind and Tide

This long-distance hiking trail totals over 230 km and allows you to cross the Magdalen Islands on foot. The route was developed in 2015 by a committee of Magdalenian walkers who had already trodden the Camino de Compostela. They were joined by a team of volunteers to ensure the sustainability, maintenance and improvement of the trails.

Wherever possible, the trail uses natural and developed paths, secondary roads and long beaches. Thirteen stages, ranging from 10 to 28 km, make up a safe, signposted 230 km circuit that promotes the protection of our environment. The route includes 56 km of beach, 83.5 km of paved roads, 30.5 km of unpaved roads and 61.5 km of trails.

This long hike is self-guided. Some sections are far from services and difficult to access during the stage. It is therefore absolutely essential to bring enough food and water for the day.
