Robert Bourassa reservoir (La Grande)

This reservoir is an artificial body of water created to supply the Robert Bourassa hydroelectric power station.
It was built between 1974 and 1978 in the valley of the La Grande River.
The river is its source of water.
Its surface area covers 2.835 km² and its water volume is estimated at 61.7 km³.
There are 31 dikes to keep water in the reservoir, and spillways for excess water.
The reservoir is ideal for pike, walleye and trout fishing.
There are boat-launching ramps.
In the Radisson area, you’ll find outfitters, a campground, an inn, two motels, caterers and guide services, restaurants, a grocery store and canoe and rabaska rentals.
