Aylmer-Whittom Park – Rivière des Rapides

Affectionately dubbed “Parc des Écureuils”, Aylmer-Whittom Park is an enchanting natural site to the west of the city. Located on the riverfront at the mouth of the Rivière des Rapides, several trails wind through a natural mixed woodland dominated by spruce and lichen. Two observation towers, one equipped with spotting scopes, let you admire the bay and the birds that nest there.

The site is renowned for its ornithological value and is an exceptional showcase for nature on the North Shore. The miniature village erected here will delight children.
