Located in a historic building with a spectacular view of the St. Lawrence River, it’s the only astronomical observatory open to the general public in the region.
Activities at the observatory have different themes each summer, and are organized by the Centre d’études collégiales en Charlevoix, in partnership with Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu and the Casino de Charlevoix.
There are sun observations by day, and star gazing by night!
The Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu site features one of the only reproductions of the solar system in Canada.
