Kiskotuk Coastal Park

Kiskotuk Coastal Park stretches along the coastline of the municipalities of Cacouna and L’Isle-Verte over a distance of 20 kilometers.
There are four different discovery and service sectors accessible from Route 132: the Site ornithologique du marais de Gros-Cacouna, the Passereaux, the Roitelets and the Quai de L’Isle-Verte.
Exceptionally biodiverse, the trails guide you through salt marsh, which transforms into salt grass prairie and shrub vegetation, followed by mixed forest on the hillsides.
Breathtaking panoramas await you in the heights of this park, with breathtaking views of the river and the region.
You’ll catch a glimpse of the Saguenay Marine Park and, with a bit of luck, spot marine mammals such as belugas, seals and large rorquals.
The site is very popular with both amateur and experienced birdwatchers.
Among other things, you can observe the Black Duck, an emblematic bird.
For cycling enthusiasts, the park is criss-crossed by the Route verte cycle path.
There are also two land access points to the Route bleue du sud de l’estuaire, a waterway for shallow-draft boats, including sea kayaks.
You can launch your boat from Route du Quai (Quai sector), and from Chemin de la Rivière-des-Vases (Passereaux sector and Vieux Quai sector between Passereaux and Roitelets).
