Cycling Circuit

Véloroute des Baleines

Description

The Route verte is now well established on the north shore of the St. Lawrence with the Véloroute des Baleines. It stretches over a superb 330 km between the St. Lawrence River, lakes, mountains and forest between Tadoussac/Sacré-Coeur and Baie Trinité via Baie-Comeau.

The Véloroute takes up part of the wide, paved shoulder of Route 138 along the St. Lawrence, and several parallel sections are also possible to discover the villages and get closer to the river. Over 95% of the route has a shoulder of 1 metre or more.

Various 50-100 km circuits are available for all levels of cyclist: the Whale Route (intermediate), the Bird Route (easy), the Nature and Adventure Route (easy), the Manicouagan Peninsula Loop (easy) and the Panorama Route (expert). Loop routes are available to the South Shore via ferry services.
