Located on Montreal’s North Shore, the Parc Linéaire des Basses-Laurentides is a dedicated bike path linking the towns of Blainville and Saint-Jérôme. Its 18km fully asphalted route is a sort of extension of the P’Tit Train du Nord bike path, which starts in St-Jérôme. It provides access to the P’Tit Train du Nord from the greater Montreal region via the Route Verte, the Anthanase-David bridge (Route 335) and the trails of the Laval cycling network.
The trail starts in Blainville, just north of Sainte-Thérèse, crosses the municipality of Mirablel and ends in Saint-Jérôme at the old train station, where you’ll find several services for cycle touring and the P’tit train du Nord. The route passes through urban suburbs, followed by a few forested areas, cultivated fields and the urban territory of Saint-Jérôme. The many road crossings have been safely laid out with lights, signs and barriers. A number of picnic areas with tables and benches have been set up along the route.
