The snowmobile, also known as a snow scooter or snowscoot, has made its appearance on the ski slopes. Although invented in France over 25 years ago, the snowmobile is a 100% Quebec product. It consists of two boards topped by a frame and handlebars controlled mainly by the legs.
Ski resorts are a little shy about taking up this new activity, but thanks to a training program set up by Dcade, the snowmobile is likely to gain in popularity. This year, over 30 resorts allow snowscooting, and some even offer snowscoot rentals.
