Located between the villages of Sainte-Rose-du-Nord and Sacré-Coeur on the north shore of the Saguenay River, this tributary of the Sainte-Marguerite River is accessible via Route 172, which runs along its north shore. Lac Résimond is part of the Vallée-de-la-Rivière-Sainte-Marguerite aquatic reserve, of which it is the largest lake, with a surface area of 1.07 km2. It’s the ideal place for a paddleboard outing or a swim on its sandy beaches.
South of the lake is the Montagne du Chapeau trail. This 8 km linear trail is intermediate to advanced. It offers panoramic views of the glacial valley of the Rivière Ste-Marguerite. Access and trailhead are on Chemin Tableau, but can be reached from Lac Résimond.
