Kwe!
Welcome to the traditional Huron site ONHOÜA CHETEK8E, the most authentic reconstruction of an Indian village as it existed in the early days of colonization.
During a tour accompanied by guides, all dressed in traditional period costume, you’ll learn about the beliefs and lifestyles of the Huron-Wendat people, past and present.
The village includes a longhouse, a sweat lodge, a smokehouse and meat dryer, a giant tee-pee and palisades.
The program includes a variety of interactive activities, such as forest walks, archery, storytelling and legends, dance performances and craft-making.
Excursions by canoe or rabaska on the Kabir Kouba River are also available.
And in winter, accompanied by a guide, you can enjoy a snowshoe hike in the forest.
The NEK8ARRE restaurant offers a variety of Amerindian dishes.
The “Le Huron” boutique, world-renowned for its authenticity for 3 generations, features a wide variety of Native arts and crafts from Eastern Canada.
