Sacacomie Lake

The lake is located in Saint-Alexis-des-Monts, one of Quebec’s largest rural municipalities, with 1,153 square kilometers and over 600 lakes.
The lake lies on the west side between the village and the boundaries of Réserve faunique Mastigouche.
It has over 40 km of shoreline.
Its shape resembles two juxtaposed rectangles, separated by two large peninsulas pointing towards Grosse Île, which dominates the center of the lake.
Three other smaller islands emerge: Île de Terre, Île Pauvre and Île aux Pins, which is considered more of an islet.
Lac Sacacomie is renowned for its crystal-clear waters, ideal for kayaking, canoeing or boating.
Its blue waters are also recognized as the best diving lake in Quebec.
For launching, go to the Saint-Alexis municipal wharf (parking and launching fees apply to non-residents).
