The capital of cross-country skiing! Morin-Heights maintains over 130 km of ski and snowshoe trails, 65 km of which are mechanically groomed. The Aerobic Corridor and a few small sections of trail allow skate skiing. However, the rest of the network is single-track. The narrow, undulating trails have a unique charm all of their own. For these reasons, Morin-Heights remains a classic network.
The 65 km of non-mechanically groomed off-piste trails allow traffic in both directions. You’ll need good cross-country skiing and map-reading skills to venture out.
Snowshoeing enthusiasts can enjoy 18 km of trails maintained by the Municipality of Morin-Heights (Balser and des Bouleaux park sectors), as well as 12 km of mountain trails at Sommet Morin-Heights. Many of these trails are accessible for winter walking and fat biking. Dogs on a leash are allowed on snowshoe trails, but not on cross-country ski trails.
Families can enjoy snow slides and two skating rinks in Basler Park.
