Center de plein air de l’UQAM

Chute Archambault - Lac-Supérieur - Tremblant

Located on the banks of the Archambault River, the Centre de plein air de l’UQAM offers a host of activities. In the heart of the beautiful Laurentian region, just 90 minutes from Montreal, it offers a wilderness experience with its chalet accommodations for up to 20 people and its many camping spaces. Numerous outdoor activities are available in summer and winter, for young and old alike.

There are 25 kilometers of mountain hiking trails. Difficulty levels range from beginner to expert. So you can adapt your walking time and number of kilometers covered, and still enjoy a great experience. An additional network of Lac-Supérieur trails is also available for hiking (see maps).

Swimming is possible at the foot of Archambault Falls, but the trail and site at the bottom of the falls are not maintained by the Centre de plein air. Swimming at your own risk.

In winter, the Centre de plein air’s trails can be explored on snowshoes. Snowshoe rentals are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Some trails are available for off-trail cross-country skiing. Those wishing to do so are responsible for having all their own equipment.
