Located in Saint-Donat in the Pimbina sector of Mont-Tremblant National Park, this mountain is accessible via a magnificent, little-traveled trail that offers magnificent winter scenery. The trail has a steep gradient and is rated as difficult. Its looped route totals 8.4 km and takes around 4 hours to complete, with an ascent of 370 metres (+200 if you take the Envol trail). You’ll pass the summit of Mont-des-Cascades at 730 metres altitude. At the halfway point, you’ll have access to the Le Geai-Bleu hut, where you can warm up or spend the night.
The trail is accessible from mid-December to the end of March, depending on snow conditions. Snowshoe rentals are available at the Discovery Centre and at the Pimbina-Saint-Donat welcome station.
