Northern gannets on Bonaventure Island

Bonaventure Island tour

Located off the coast of Percé, this island, 3 km in diameter, is home to the world’s largest colony of gannets. The trail around the island, an 8.4 km loop, allows you to observe these battling migratory birds, admire seals basking in the sun on the rocks and see Percé Rock from another angle. What’s more, you have access to a wonderful beach, where a few brave souls dare to swim, despite the freezing water temperature.
