Les Sentiers 3 Frontières

Lake - Les Sentiers 3 Frontières

The Sentiers 3 Frontières are marked ecotourism trails providing access to the meeting point of the Maine, New Brunswick and Quebec borders by land or water. These trails are a legacy of the 2014 World Acadian Congress to the riverside communities. Attractions, services, signage and information with a historical flavour can be found all along these routes.

The water trail for canoes and kayaks uses the Saint-François River, lakes and the Saint John River (all bordering the USA) to navigate from Pohénégamook to Saint-François-de-Madawaska. The total distance is 76 km.

The cycling trail follows Route 289 from Parc de la Frontière in Pohénégamook and secondary roads to reach the start of the public territory at Beau Lac.sThen, only mountain bikes are recommended to reach the Glazier Lake campground in New Brunswick, an alternative starting point under development.

The hiking trail is accessible from the Lac Glazier campground or from the start of the public territory at Beau Lac, a total of 18 km of forest trails. A further 11 km are signposted from the village of Rivière-Bleue on rue Saint-Joseph Sud.
