Sentier des Crêtes

Description

Departure is from the Bonnallie service center in the Lac-Stukely sector, east of Parc du Mont-Orford. We take access road 9 for about 1.5 km to reach the start of the Crêtes trail. The climb begins, over just over 2 km, to the Pic de la Roche Fendue, with a view of Stukely Lake below. Then, after some 800 m, we reach the Pic de l’Ours, at 740 m altitude. The view of Lake Memphremagog to the south is magnificent. The trail continues to the summit of Mont-Orford, which can be descended via the ski slopes.

If you’ve parked a second car at Mont-Orford, you’ll have covered just over 10 km and taken around 5 hours. Alternatively, you can complete a loop via chemin 7 and chemin 9 for a round trip of almost 18 km.
