Corridor des Cheminots

Description

A 22 km multi-use trail on a former railroad right-of-way, for cyclists, pedestrians, wheelchair users and in-line skaters. Part of the Route verte and Trans Canada Trail, this bike path crosses the boroughs of La Cité-Limoilou, Les Rivières, Haute-Saint-Charles and Laurentien in Quebec City, on its way to Shannon. It offers a variety of services and picturesque scenery. It also links up with the Corridor du Littoral and the Domaine de Maizerets. In winter, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and hiking are freely available.

To the north, just before Shannon, the trail continues as the Vélopiste Jacques-Cartier/Portneuf for almost 68 km to the municipality of Rivière-à-Pierre.
